LAM CHIEU CALENDAR 2024
This is a set of 2024 calendars designed for the brand Gac - Mang - Gie in Vietnam, used for a special occasion at the beginning of the new year 2024. The calendar conveys images of Vietnamese specialties and agricultural products for each region and specific seasons. In addition, the calendar suggests products from the brand that are suitable for eating at that time.
STORY BOARD
"LAM CHIỀU" is the concept of this calendar. It is a word of Western Vietnamese, meaning that in the evening when everyone has just come back home from work and then prepares for dinner. This calendar suggests dishes with Vietnamese spirit and reminiscent of a homeland. Whenever you remember the flavors of yours hometown, remember Gac - Mang - Gie.
CREATION PROCESS
Ideas are laid out with pencil sketches, and real images are edited with Adobe Photoshop then combined with pen tool strokes, colored and finished products with Adobe Illustrator.

June: Lotus seeds (Tháng sáu - Hạt sen - Đồng Tháp)
July: Peanuts (Tháng bảy - Đậu phộng - Long An)
August: Peas (Tháng tám - Đậu hà lan - Lâm Đồng)
September: Bird's nest (Tháng chín - Tổ yến - Khánh Hòa)
October: Apricots (Tháng mười - Rượu mơ - Quảng Ninh)
November: Tamarind (Tháng mười một - Kẹo me - Đà Nẵng)
December: Honey (Tháng mười hai - Mật ong - Cà Mau)
Tháng 1 - Tết đầy bánh mứt hạt dưa, đào mai khoe sắc trẻ ưa lì xì.
Tháng 2 - Thanh thanh sấy dẻo bưởi đây, giảm cân khỏe dáng lên “phây” khoe liền.
Tháng 3 - Thanh nghệ ép với mật ong, tốt cho sức khỏe biếu ông với bà.
Tháng 4 - Lặng nghe tiếng gió rung điều, tiếng ru của mẹ tiếng diều vút cao.
Tháng 5 - Gió đưa bụi chuối sau hè, tiếng ve không ngớt trẻ cười giòn tan.
Tháng 6 - Hương sen thơm ngát ngoài đồng, hạt sen chờ sẵn nức lòng muốn ăn.
Tháng 7 - Sang thu cây lạc vào mùa, nhanh tay thu hoạch chạy ùa vào rang.
Tháng 8 - Nhâm nhi chút đậu hà lan, phiếm buôn trò chuyện xua tan muộn phiền.
Tháng 9 - Yến chao yến lượn trời thu, gió heo may thổi như ru chút tình.
Tháng 10 - Lo âu cần chút rượu mơ, thơm thơm dễ uống dễ mơ giấc nồng.
Tháng 11 - Chua cay deo dẻo kẹo me, trẻ em thinh thính đem khoe ông bà.
Tháng 12 - Ngọt ngào một chút mật ong, mix thêm chút vị mùa đông ấm nồng.
